This course is suitable for candidates wishing to gain skills in mobile air conditioning. Successful completion of this course
will qualify candidates to practise in line with the European Union regulation EC842/2006. Since June 2010, all operatives working with or handling refrigerants must be qualified to this level.

Programme Information
The content predominately involves assessing the candidate’s ability to use refrigerants, which is supplemented by oral questioning associated with this activity. To supplement candidates knowledge, class technology will be provided, which will cover all aspects of the theoretical and legal requirements.
Course Content
1. Preparing the vehicle for refrigerant recovery
2. Select and use appropriate service equipment
3. Identify refrigerant and difference between service ports/types
4. Recover refrigerant from motor vehicle into appropriate recovery set
5. Correctly handle fluorinated greenhouse gas( R134a)
6. UK Health and Safety Legislation- regarding use of refrigerants
7. Basic provisions of the European Directive 2006/40/EC
