Routes for Learning
The Routes for Learning Department (R4L) co-ordinates a wide range of learning opportunities, offering classes that can be certificated, non-certificated or for leisure purposes. The department engages early and fragile learners and supports them throughout their learning journey.  Provision is delivered within the main College Campus, Dumbarton Campus, Skypoint Campus Faifley, and local communities across a wide geographical spread including Glasgow, East and West Dunbartonshire and Argyll and Bute.

R4L consists of five key elements –

Learning Works
The Learning Works programme offers access to learning new skills including Computing, Communications and Numeracy and Confidence Building. The programmes are delivered in the three main campuses in a supportive environment with advice and guidance provided by the R4L Learning Advisers before, during and at the end of the programme.

The Prince’s Trust
The Prince’s Trust Teams are based in Dumbarton Campus and Skypoint Faifley. They offer a 12 week personal development course for 16-25year olds. Six courses are offered throughout the year.

Outreach
A wide range of certificated and non-certificated courses are provided in local communities in partnership with the local authorities, voluntary organisations etc. in over sixty different venues.

Leisure
Leisure offer classes in the main College campuses as well as schools and libraries across East and West Dunbartonshire and Argyll and Bute. You may be eligable to apply for an ILA, which can help you finance your course.
