This programme is primarily for employed apprentice mechanics. Students will be working as a mechanic and attend College one day each week. Practical and theoretical aspects of mechanics and vehicle electrics are covered. In some instances the College may be able to source apprenticeship opportunities for applicants who are not employed as apprentice mechanics.

Applicants must be employed within the motor vehicle industry to be considered for this course. Acceptance onto this programme will also be based on an interview.

At College - Internet, Interactive Software, Practical Demonstrations and Powerpoint. At Work - A Workplace Assessor will ensure the student undertakes a range of tasks to cover all aspects of the course. The course is made up of theoretical and practical elements and requires the candidate to complete a portfolio of evidence.
With the recognised motor vehicle apprenticeship qualification, students may apply for positions as a Vehicle Mechanic or a Vehicle Electrician.
